Things to Bring to Campus
Please review the Student Handbook for rules regarding additional furniture. The following items are commonly brought by students for the room:
- Desk lamp
- TV
- Microwaves (limited to one per room)
- Sheets - beds are 6'8" (View the University provided furniture)
- Towels, pillow
- Small Wastebasket and/or Recycle Bin
- Small refrigerator (no larger than 4.1 cubic feet) (limited to one per room)
- Under-bed storage boxes, trunks, or plastic/stackable drawers. Please ensure that any storage containers you bring to campus can fit under your bed. Bed risers are not approved.
- Laundry basket or bag
- Flashlight and extra batteries (for possible power outages; candles not allowed)
- Surge protector/power strip (must be in accordance with Fire Safety Policy)
- Mattress Pad or Egg crate foam
- Robe and flip flops/slides for shower (first-year residence halls have hall bathrooms)
- Hanging mirror (if desired)
- Carrier for bathroom/personal essentials, including but not limited to: Shampoo, soap, deodorant, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, thermometer, tissues, & pain reliever (acetaminophen or ibuprofen)
- Check out the approved rental items (e.g. lofts, microfridges, futons) with Dorms Direct.
